With stay-local messaging rife, British holidaymakers may well be staying much closer to home this summer. Luckily for us, there are plenty of beautiful coastlines to visit. From secret swathes of sandy beach in Scotland to the picturesque cliffs of the Isle Of Wight, it's time to get exploring!

The vast majority of the Isle of Wight has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty - and for good reason. In total, there are over 65 MILES of coastline to explore. The Isle of Wight Coastal Path is split into 6 sections - with an area to suit every kind of family. From winding roads, scenic cliffs and golden beaches - any route is bound to exhilarate you and the family. The seaside resort of Ventnor is particularly beautiful and a popular choice amongst families with it's sandy, clean and easily accessible beach.

#2 Scotland - Moray Firth Coast

Scotland's coastline is picturesque. Known for its beautiful coastal scenery, turquoise blue seas and white sand beaches, it's the perfect location for a family-friendly UK beach holiday. Whether you'd like to take the family dolphin spotting, sailing or even walking the beautiful Moray Coastal Trail - the Moray coast should be top of your explore list. Home to friendly harbour villages, towering sea cliffs and incredible changing light, the Moray Firth Coast is a great place for families due to its beautiful scenery and helpful services.

#3 Devon - Shaldon
