Colours
Whilst AW18 saw neutral beiges and hot pinks emerging, SS19 offers a different take on these dusty hues...
Muted Palettes
Pale blues and light greys are due to steal the show in SS19. Swapping out peachy beiges for paler, more subtle shades of blue, a muted palette brings many opportunities for accentuated shades and statement furniture.
Blush
Blush is a colour well associated with the spring and summer season, however, it is set to be a top trending shade during 2019. Tonal pinks set alongside inky blues and brushed brass accessories is a combination worth investing in this year. Play with velvets and textured fabrics in blush hues to create depth and warmth in your living space.
Inky blue
Inky florals, watercolour stripes, inky blue linen and garment wash textures are also an SS19 trend, especially when it comes to bedding and bedroom interiors. As mentioned above, inky blues are set to be a popular pairing with dusty blush pinks and brushed brass.
Primrose yellow
There were hints of this shade throughout SS18, but SS19 is set to bring this colour into great popularity. Bringing true vibrancy and playfulness to the season, this hue is great for soft furnishings to add accents to your colour palette and for furniture such as seating to add pops of colour to your room.
Themed Trends
Grown-up romance
Offering faded charm and delicate lace trimmings, the grown-up romance trend is set to be dressed in blushed hues, designed with petal and floral features and textured in silky shimmer yarn, sheen and satin materials. Otherwise known as a lustrous, romantic, floral theme, other effects such as watercolour and marble are encompassed within the trend.
Palm tree printing
Dusty pink and woodland greens make up the colour foundations for this themed trend set to take over Instagram during SS19. Making the ideal statement duvet or cushion cover, and teamed with gold brass accessories, this print is going to be a popular pick for many this season.
Inspired by nature
Described by designers as “perfect imperfection”, a hazy digital print of natural leaves, trees and flowers are hinted to be a big hit this spring/summer. Commonly taking on natural shades from cream to beige and brown, this theme fits well with simplistic, minimalist living.
Introducing in homeware – Behind the Scenes of The Brand
in homeware is the new and exclusive online homeware range only available at The Hut. Featuring a range of soft furnishings, including bed linens, fitted sheets, cushions and super soft towels, all made to withstand the test of time.
Textures
Waffled
Waffled bedding, cushions and soft furnishings are featured amongst the SS19 trend boards, alongside quilted textures too. Adding both visible and physical texture to a room, the contrast between such textured and simple alternatives can add great detail to a room.
Natural
Opposing the pristine and clean finished look, SS19 sees a rise in popularity for naturally textured fabrics, rougher looking materials and accessorised edging such as tassels and fringing.
Handmade
Handwoven textures and fabrics, stitching and visible craft skills embedded within interior furnishings are a huge trend for SS19. Whether this is crafted patterned ceramics or embroidered bedding, keep your eye out for these handcrafted techniques.
