Beach boho, understated tomboy chic, bold accessories, and relaxed styles sum up the Australian style aesthetic. There’s more to Australia’s style than bikinis and board shorts, and the country is fast becoming one to produce exciting new brands that gain cult status amongst fashion bloggers and celebrities around the world. Bringing a different approach to style and design than those in Europe or the US, Australian brands have a unique take on fashion – and it’s all really refreshing.
We’re really excited about the landing of the SS15 collections of Aussie labels The Fifth, Finders Keepers, and MINKPINK at The Hut. Perfect for summer and the festival season, these brands are effortless and totally stylish.
Finders KeepersThe go-to label for playful prints, bright colours and structured, feminine pieces, Finders Keepers was founded in 2007 by Australian Fashion Label’s Creative Director Melanie Flintoft. This is the brand for the girl whose style is sophisticated yet effortless, and always on-trend, with celebrity fans including Nicole Sherzinger, Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian and Lily Collins. The new collection is appearing to be a hit too; Kendall Jenner was recently spotted wearing a denim shirt (get it here at The Hut) from Finders Keepers’ SS15 collection, opting to wear it with a pair of leather leggings and suede ankle boots. We love the open back – go for double denim and wear it with denim shorts to make it summer appropriate.

Founded in 2005, designer Rachel Evans creates clothing that is playful and flirty, with unique prints that will speak to any fashion lover. This is a brand that is made for long, lazy summer evenings and days on the beach; we love MINKPINK’s distinctive take on swimwear. LA blogger Anna from Fash Boulevard is just one of the fashion set to jump on the MINKPINK bandwagon; we love how she styles this floral playsuit (available here at The Hut), adding a bright yellow blazer and muted accessories to create a fun summer look.
